He was supposed to be some sort of quirky inventor, right? Guess it was either that or a Saab

There were a few interesting cars in the show :
Toyota Previa
An approximation of a Volvo 240:
An Edsel

Completely agree! I quite liked that series and the DS was perfect for him!

The Previa and 240 wagon were kind of stock middle class suburban family cars when the show started. Hell, they practically issued you a white or beige 240 and a Golden Retriever standard with every new Toll Brothers house in the ‘80s and ‘90s.

He had the best (like Roger on Mad Men) one-liners...
I loved the one where the gang-leader perp’ s telling Cho “what he can have done to Agent Cho with a single phone call...”.
And Cho comes back with “that’s very impressive. the best I can do with a single phone call is a pizza...”

Haha, I actually remember that one perfectly clearly! XD

The DS is the biggest oddity for sure. Still, I’m a bit impressed to see the Previa and 240 compared to something like a Taurus or a Caravan.

There were certain Baby Boomers that wouldn't be caught dead in a domestic car, and the Rugrats parents always seemed a little yuppie-ish.
